Our Story

Honoring the immigrants who traveled to our area in the early 1900’s and picked up the local trade of coal miningwe feature recipes that both reflect life balancing hard work with the simple pleasures of great food and wine enjoyed with friends and family. Fresh ingredients and a zeal for life are essential to the flavors of Italy. We carry on the tradition by proudly sourcing regional ingredients and offering the finest Italian imports.

Our coal fired oven is a hallmark of both West Virginia culture and pizza history. We are West Virginia’s first and only coal fired pizzeria. Our namesake honors the first pizza made for Queen Regina Margherita.  The very first pizza oven in America was fired by coal, and we’re sure you’ll agree it’s still the BEST! We use domestic Anthracite, the oldest, hardest and cleanest type of coal…virtually free of smoke and particulate emissions.
